In 1981, Henry C Griffin opened Griffin Insurance Agency,
specializing in non-standard or hard to place risks in a small one room office
with no employees. At the time, there weren't many insurance agencies for
people to turn to with these special needs in the middle Georgia area.
Mr. Griffin had previous experience as an agent for Cotton States
and had been involved with life insurance, but felt that an independent agency
that was property and casualty-based would better serve the needs of the growing
community.
We moved to our current location in January 1999 on Watson
Boulevard. Griffin Insurance acquired Watson Insurance Agency in 2000. We
expanded into two connected offices to better accommodate our expanding client
base with a complete renovation in 2005.
The agency continues to grow and has added many standard
carriers as well as financial and investment products. Together with the
experienced staff, the company continues to thrive and offer the community great
customer service and a multitude of insurance products. The versatility of
being able to help all clients with affordable insurance products at every level
of need is what makes our agency an easy choice.
With over 10+ carriers, our
ability to do the "shopping" for our clients offers peace of mind when making
